Summary The Research Assistant assists Principal Investigators in both the Master of Public (M.P.H) Program and Pharmacology Department with their research and experiments. Work is performed under direct supervision of the PI or senior member of the lab. The position takes direction from both the M.P.H. Program Director and the Chair of Pharmacology Department. This individual will report to the Chair of Pharmacology.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities Enters data and reviews for accuracy Maintains an accurate laboratory notebook Adheres to laboratory safety procedures Assists in standard maintenance of the laboratory Obtains quotes and performs ordering and receiving duties for lab supplies Prepares and executes experiments including but not limited to molecular experiments (e.g., PCR), dissections, cell culture and microbial DNA extraction and sequencing Assists with breeding and dissection of mice; handles and potentially injects mice.
