JOB SUMMARY, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, JOB REQUIREMENTS
SUMMARY
The position requires a strong technical background and expertise in I.T. to enhance current services and optimize the overall user experience across the company. The role involves solving complex problems, troubleshooting issues, and proactively identifying and implementing system improvements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install and Configure Networks & Systems: Ensure seamless connectivity for employee workstations, enabling access to critical business data at all times. Configure network security settings and install peripheral devices to support business operations.
- Manage Databases: Oversee the setup and maintenance of new properties, domains, and email accounts. Adjust user permissions, maintain data security and integrity, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of systems.
- Provide User Support: Offer technical assistance for hardware and software installations, diagnose connectivity or data access issues, and assist users in accessing shared drives and devices.
- Manage Information Security: Install antivirus software, develop and enforce email security policies, and conduct regular data audits and backups to prevent data loss and protect against unauthorized access.
- Troubleshoot Systems and Hardware: Identify and resolve issues with new hardware or software, collaborating with users and managing back-end server tasks to ensure minimal disruption.
- Respond to IT Support Requests: Address IT support tickets promptly via email, chat, or phone, ensuring quick resolution of technical issues.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education/training is a bonus.
- Prior IT experience (required)
- Previous experience in the property management industry preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional standing or walking within the office or to other facilities.
- Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours with breaks).
- Occasional bending, reaching, and stooping.
- Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computers, copiers, and phones).
- Adequate vision for reading and computer use (corrective lenses acceptable).
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively, including via phone.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies or small packages).
- Ability to climb stairs.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Driver's License and/or reliable transportation. Employees may be required to report to different locations for work, and attend offsite meetings, training sessions, conferences, events, etc.
- Proficiency in property management software.
- Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office and Gsuite.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Federal, State, and Local Laws pertaining to Fair Housing and Landlord/Tenant Laws.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
