The College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Professor in the Cardiovascular Science Program, Glendale, AZ campus. The candidate must have a Masters degree and documented academic experience with a record of teaching along with a minimum of 2 years clinical practice. Rank will commensurate with experience. Salary and benefits are competitive for this faculty position. In addition to teaching in the practical laboratory and didactic courses, the candidate will participate in scholarship and service. Specific areas of responsibility will vary depending on the individual’s educational background and experience.
The Cardiovascular Science Perfusion Program matriculates 44 students each year and awards the Master of Science in Cardiovascular Science degree after successful completion of the 21-month curriculum. The curriculum includes three-quarters of didactic and laboratory education, including a state-of-the-art simulation laboratory, followed by four quarters of clinical education practicums off campus at various affiliated hospitals located throughout the country. The Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and has eight faculty members and three support staff members.
