JOB SUMMARY, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, JOB REQUIREMENTS

SUMMARY

The Onsite Activities / OSU Ambassador is a part-time, student-focused role designed to enhance resident engagement, strengthen the property’s presence within the Oklahoma State University community, and support marketing and leasing efforts at Remington Ranch Apartments. This role bridges onsite operations and campus outreach by managing social media, coordinating events, and fostering relationships with current and prospective residents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Marketing & Social Media

  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly content calendars, with Property Manager approval
  • Capture and share resident testimonials and property highlights
  • Post on social media platforms 2–3 times per week
  • Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages
  • Create engaging content, including behind-the-scenes and seasonal campaigns

 

Resident Engagement & Events

  • Plan and execute resident events within budget
  • Coordinate weekly onsite events (e.g., food trucks during summer months)
  • Develop and manage engagement initiatives such as the “While You Were Away” content series
  • Support overall resident experience through creative programming

 

Campus & Community Outreach

  • Represent the property at OSU-related events
  • Participate in campus organizations to build brand awareness
  • Conduct outreach marketing within Stillwater and the OSU community
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses for resident/student discounts

 

Leasing & Administrative Support

  • Assist with property tours as needed
  • Support inquiry handling through designated ambassador hours
  • Manage and distribute the “Remington Student Profile” for incoming residents
  • Collect and analyze resident preferences (e.g., roommate matching, housing expectations)

 

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Analyze engagement metrics from social media and events
  • Provide feedback and reporting to management on campaign and event performance

 

General Support

  • Provide additional support to the onsite team as needed to ensure smooth property operations

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education/training is a bonus.
  • Previous experience in the property management industry preferred.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Occasional standing or walking within the office or to other facilities.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours with breaks).
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and stooping.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computers, copiers, and phones).
  • Adequate vision for reading and computer use (corrective lenses acceptable).
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively, including via phone.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies or small packages).
  • Ability to climb stairs.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Driver's License and/or reliable transportation. Employees may be required to report to different locations for work, and attend offsite meetings, training sessions, conferences, events, etc.
  • Proficiency in property management software.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office and Gsuite.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Federal, State, and Local Laws pertaining to Fair Housing and Landlord/Tenant Laws.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Demonstrates sound decision-making, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
