Midwestern University (MWU) offers a 2026-2027 one-year internship focused on aquatic animal and wildlife health. This program is intended to provide clinical training to prepare the intern for a career in zoological medicine and for the rigors of a residency program. Training will primarily take place off-site at two locations: OdySea Aquarium and Butterfly Wonderland (9500 E Via de Ventura, Scottsdale AZ) and Liberty Wildlife (2600 E Elwood St., Phoenix AZ 85040), a local wildlife rehabilitation facility. The intern should expect to see a variety of cases and species between both facilities. Time spent at each facility will be approximately 50% of the year.
