Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Applications Engineer to join our team. This role combines technical problem-solving, customer engagement, and product expertise to support the successful application of Canty's process monitoring and vision-based technologies. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with customers, translating technical requirements into practical solutions, and collaborating across engineering, sales, and product development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and application expertise for Canty products and systems.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers and sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop customized solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare technical proposals and application recommendations for vision-based process control projects.
  • Support and strengthen relationships with Canty's global network of sales representatives.
  • Respond to customer and representative inquiries through phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  • Develop quotations and technical documentation for customers and channel partners.
  • Travel to customer sites, industry conferences, and trade shows to support business development and system commissioning activities (approximately 60–80 days per year).
  • Participate in research and development efforts to identify new applications and opportunities for Canty's technologies.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline, including:                        - Biomedical Engineering

            - Chemical Engineering

            - Mechanical Engineering

            - Industrial Engineering

            - Electrical Engineering

            - Instrumentation and Control Systems

            - Physics

Preferred

  • Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of process industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical processing, oil and gas, or related fields.
  • Experience with instrumentation, automation, process control, or industrial equipment is advantageous.
