Insurance Operations Specialist

AutoRisk is a growing highly niched commercial independent insurance agency built on deep industry expertise. We are actively integrating AI-assisted tools into our workflows — from renewal provisioning and pre-work, policy analysis to client communication and underwriting support.

We are looking for an Insurance Operations Specialist who sees technology as a force multiplier: someone who brings strong P&C fundamentals and genuine curiosity about how AI can make complex insurance work faster and smarter.

Job Responsibilities
Account & Renewal Management
•        Work assigned accounts 60 days prior to renewal; prepare and deliver binders within 3 days of receipt

•        Review renewals to identify non-standard policies that can be rewritten in a standard program, using AI-assisted tools to surface opportunities

•        Obtain updated client exposure information and complete renewal applications 60 days before renewal date

•        Prepare renewal applications for businesses through companies no longer represented, at least 45 days prior to renewal


Underwriting & Market Negotiation
•        Perform underwriting functions to ensure classification and rating accuracy on new and renewal business, including review of AI-generated risk flags

•        Negotiate pricing, policy conditions, and terms with insurance markets

•        Review quotes and recommend best coverage options for price and coverage; document all related conversations

•        Participate in discussion and review of current market conditions on specific accounts


Client Service & Communication
•        Maintain timely, thorough interactions with clients and carriers to minimize E&O exposure

•        Document all material conversations with insureds and carriers per operations manual; supports AI-assisted client history analysis

•        Review termination and cancellation notices within 48 hours to determine appropriate action

•        Assist clients with claims reporting as requested

•        Support clients through the Premium Audit Process, including audit form completion and explaining debit/credit premium summaries


Requirements

Required
•        2+ years of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience

•        Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Denver, CO 80210 before start date


Preferred
•        Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License

•        Experience with agency management systems such as AMS360, Applied Epic, or HawkSoft

•        Comfort working with and integrating AI tools in a professional context, or genuine curiosity about AI in insurance

•        Ability to evaluate AI-assisted outputs and provide feedback to improve workflow accuracy

•        Strong documentation habits and attention to detail


Compensation & Schedule
•        Starting pay: $25 - $30 per hour; increase to $28 - $35 per hour after 60 days


**Pay range is flexible and commensurate with experience
