Tax Manager (CPA Required)

Our client is a well-established CPA and business advisory firm in Oklahoma City, known for providing high-level tax, accounting, and advisory services to a wide variety of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, real estate entities, and businesses.
Position Summary:
They’re looking for a seasoned Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to lead and execute the preparation, review, and strategy for complex tax returns. This person will manage compliance and ensure tax returns are accurate and strategically optimized using Lacerte and QuickBooks. The role requires a high level of technical skill, leadership, and experience with multi-entity tax structures.
Qualifications / Must-Have Skills:
- CPA designation required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax accounting
- Proven experience preparing, reviewing, and managing complex tax returns
- Deep understanding of multi-entity structures (LLCs, partnerships, trusts, S-corps)
- Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Lacerte and QuickBooks
- Strong leadership abilities; experience mentoring or managing tax staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review complex tax returns (corporate, partnership, trust, individual, etc.)
- Prepare and review tax provision schedules, quarterly and annual tax reports
- Oversee tax compliance for clients at all levels, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, including long-term strategic tax planning
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to improve client profitability
- Work with accounting staff to mentor and develop junior tax professionals
- Maintain accurate tax databases and records using Lacerte and QuickBooks
- Serve as a subject matter expert on tax law changes and complex tax issues
- Assist in developing internal processes, improving efficiency and quality of tax deliverables
